Mariner Launches Spyglass Inc – an Industrial IoT and AI Software Company
Mariner, a Microsoft Gold Partner in Data Analytics, Data Platform, and Cloud Platform, announced today the launch of their sister company, Spyglass Connected Solutions, Inc. Spyglass is an industrial IoT (IIoT) and AI software company that enables manufacturers to reduce unplanned downtime, improve product quality, and balance production.

Born from Mariner’s two decades of customer success in delivering BI and analytics services, Spyglass represents the next stage of investment by Mariner as a distinct software-as-a-service company fully dedicated to providing IoT and AI solutions, powered by the Microsoft cloud.

The first solution is Spyglass Connected Factory enabling manufacturers to monitor their production-line data in real-time. Manufacturers are already choosing Spyglass Connected Factory to overcome two top barriers to IIoT adoption: excessive cost and access to infrastructure. Spyglass Connected Factory is available as a 60-day trial for $9,900 USD that can be deployed in as little as 15 days.

“With the launch of Spyglass, manufacturers now have solutions that can help them jump start their digital transformation, one factory at a time,” said Philip Morris, CEO and Co-founder of both Mariner and Spyglass. “We believe in the value of starting small, thinking big, and going fast as the path to achieving the most significant return on IIoT or AI investments. We are excited to launch Spyglass, in partnership with Microsoft and our customers, to ensure that manufacturers of all sizes realize value quickly.”

“Mariner’s launch of Spyglass is a great example of the power of the Microsoft partner ecosystem to develop intelligent IoT solutions for manufacturers, powered by the Microsoft cloud,” said Steve Hanna, US Industry Manufacturing lead for Microsoft. “Together with our partners like Spyglass, Microsoft is empowering manufacturers to accelerate their digital capabilities and achieve unprecedented levels of operational and business excellence.”

Over the next twelve months, Spyglass will grow their sales and marketing organization to ensure successful customer adoption of Spyglass Connected Factory worldwide. In support of this goal, Spyglass made three additional announcements today:
  • Mark Adelhelm joins Spyglass today as the Enterprise Sales Manager working with Spyglass customers in the Southeast, North Central, and West regions of the United States. Mark brings more than thirty years of manufacturing and IT experience in roles spanning operations, supply chain management, business development, consulting and general management. Prior to joining Spyglass, Mark held senior positions with Microsoft, IBM, Sara Lee, Booz, Allen and The Walt Disney Co.
  • Robbie Jones is promoted today to Enterprise Sales Manager responsible for customer success in the Southeast, Northeast, Great Lakes and South Central regions. Robbie’s fifteen-year career, including the last several as a Business Development Manager at Mariner, has been focused on assisting manufacturers in combining the best Operational and Information Technology solutions to deliver bottom line impact.
  • Spyglass also launches their new website today – The site is an online resource for manufacturers evaluating IIoT and AI solutions. It features real-world success stories, videos, and an Insights blog with business-focused articles that help enterprises explore and adopt these technologies.
