Smiffy’s Implements Voxware’s Cloud Voice Solution to Boost Efficiency and Modernize Its Warehouse
Voxware, the largest independent voice application company, today announced that costume retailer Smiffy’s is implementing Voxware’s Cloud Voice Management Suite (VMS) to increase fulfillment efficiency in the warehouse and to more quickly onboard new hires during seasonal peaks. The UK-based supplier of costumes, wigs, and accessories employs over 50 warehouse pickers and ships 2-2.5 million products every month to 5,000 stockists in over 40 countries around the world.

Smiffy’s experiences seasonal peaks between August and November, and now with Voxware’s cloud offering, it can easily scale to keep pace with changing business demands. The retailer also cited Voxware’s subscription-pricing model as a deciding factor in its choice to deploy VMS.

“We spoke with four different voice technology providers and were very impressed with Voxware. The team listened to what was relevant and important to us and really made an effort to understand our operation,” said Ross Johnson, Head of Operations, Smiffy’s. “Their genuine interest in our business gave us massive confidence in Voxware and the Cloud VMS solution.”

Voxware’s cloud voice software lets organizations of all sizes leverage the power of voice automation technology to improve efficiency in the warehouse without the burden of building supporting tech infrastructure or the cost of self-hosting a solution. Implementation and onboarding new hires is also more effective with Cloud VMS, which ensures a fast time-to-value.

“We’re excited to help Smiffy’s reach the warehouse efficiency they’re looking to achieve, especially during their seasonal peaks. Training temporary hires can be a costly and time intensive process. One of the biggest benefits of our Cloud VMS offering is that new staff can be trained quickly and start working almost immediately,” said Dominic Lanaway, Managing Director of EMEA, Voxware. “Faced with an increasingly complex supply chain landscape, today’s retailers require scalable, flexible offerings that address their current business challenges but that can also easily evolve to meet their future needs.”
