TSC Auto ID Celebrates Anniversaries in Style
With TSC Auto ID’s 25th anniversary, the 10-year anniversary of TSCs Partner Meetings, the 5th anniversary of TSC Auto ID in Russia – the Taiwanese manufacturer of reliable barcode label printers, one of the world’s leading Top 5, had much cause for celebration at this year’s event in Lisbon. The program was rounded off with a number of product innovations such as MX240P and Alpha-2R and talks from expert guest speakers in varied specialist areas.

At a special event held in Lisbon on 27 and 28 October 2016, more than 100 participants from 59 TSC partner companies and 30 nations represented a new record participation for the Partner Meeting. According to the statement of Ladislav Sloup, Managing Director of TSC Auto ID EMEA, now sales reached a record high in 2016. The expectations for the next year are correspondingly high. TSC Auto ID also has again raised the bar in terms of marketing activities: In 2017 the company will be represented at all important national and international trade shows and relevant events as main exhibitor or together with its partners.

TSC Auto ID’s President Sam Wang, who had travelled down from headquarters in Taipeh, proudly stated, that “far more than 3 million installed printers in 90 countries puts us into the top 5 manufacturers of thermal label printers in the world. That´s really a significant milestone of the entire TSC company group. But we will continue to extend our scale, activities and presence around the world.” Particularly in Asia and EMEA TSC is strongly positioned as a competitor, but with the acquisition of Printronix’ Thermal/AIDC Business the manufacturer expects to have further successful leveraging of the American market. The company plans to invest in new technologies, production sites and offices, as well as in the expansion of the portfolio and expert teams.

The agenda included also new products that will be successively introduced to the market. First, the new industrial printer series MX240P was officially launched for the EMEA market at this Partner Meeting. It’s a 4” first-class thermal transfer model, whereby the P stands for Premium, including an all-new electronics main board, a user-friendly coloured touch display in new GUI design and modern sensors for correct material and ribbon positioning. The comfortable and light-weight printer Alpha-2R, which will be available before the end of this year, is TSC’s smallest and most affordable mobile printer. It offers the largest media capacity in the 2’’ market with a media capacity of 58 mm wide and a maximum receipt roll out diameter of 50 mm. The new industrial printer series MH240 with its updated print mechanism and the desktop model TE200, featuring a printing module that can be removed from the housing and used for individual kiosk applications, two-colour or dual-sided printing, will be state-of-the-art and available during 2017.
