E-Commerce Specialist Launches Quality Benchmark to UK Market
E-commerce logistics specialist ITinSell has today announced that it will launch its QSBenchmark in the UK. The benchmark measures quality of service for ecommerce deliveries based on aggregated data from carriers and ecommerce companies.

The QSbenchmark was initially developed in 2013 in partnership with logistics company Colis Privé and has been adopted by major carriers and ecommerce brands across France. Following the company’s UK launch in 2015, ITinSell has decided to extend the benchmark further across Europe.

The initiative is led by Philippe Bailly, international and partnerships director at ITinSell, who believes that the QS benchmark fills a significant gap in the ecommerce market. “We are used to rating sellers on EBay and Amazon, providing scores for our restaurants and measuring customer satisfaction on ecommerce sites, but this is the first benchmarking tool to be developed that really measures delivery service levels,” he comments. “For a customer, the moment when they finally hold their purchase in their hands is the most important part of the shopping process. Yet in the retail industry we have been lacking the data to be sure that we’re always making sure that happens as best it can.”

Organizations that contribute to building the benchmark by sharing their data will be able to access their own tailored reports using ITinSell’s analytics technology. The data collected includes timings based on events including order placement, despatch, first delivery attempt and final delivery, categorised by location. Participating carriers will have the opportunity to compare their own performance with those of others, both in their own regions and ultimately across Europe.
