Printronix appoints print expert to cover UK, Ireland and South Africa
Printronix LLC has appointed Lareen Kohler as regional sales manager for the UK, Ireland and South Africa (SA). Her remit will be to use her extensive printer business experience and knowledge to advise customers, and to help dealerships grow their sales in both Printronix line matrix and serial matrix devices.

Lareen has been consulting for Printronix since April 2017 to support and develop business in SA but, since October, she has relocated to join the team as a Printronix UK employee. Her regional responsibilities have been extended to include the UK and Ireland. In preparation for her new role, she moved to Kent, where she will be based, and will divide her time between the two territories.

Xavier Nicolaï, marketing manager of Printronix EMEA said: “We’re very pleased to have Lareen onboard. She has a proven and distinguished career in the print industry, spanning more than 25 years. She joins from Ricoh, South Africa, and before that was with InfoPrint Solutions, playing a key role in transitioning this joint venture between IBM and Ricoh.

“It is her solid legacy background and sales experience across multiple sectors that will prove invaluable in terms of providing meaningful support and advice to both our dealers and customers,” suggests Xavier.

Over the years, Lareen proved highly effective in sales, regularly overachieving sales targets and IBM’s Hundred Percent Club. “I’m really excited by my new role and see real scope for developing business with existing and potential customers in automotive, retail, pharmaceutical and logistics sectors,” says Lareen.

“The Printronix and TallyGenicom brands have been trusted worldwide for decades to provide industrial printing solutions and even in the wake of Industry 4.0, I believe line matrix is still extremely relevant in mission critical printing.

“Yes, critics may argue that printing is unnecessary in today’s IoT environment but paper trails are still required for many legislative, financial and practical reasons. And for that, enterprises need printers they can rely on in demanding environments and which offer a very low cost of ownership and good energy efficiency,” remarks Lareen.
